I would like to thank you for letting me know about the Wednesday Crochet Class.
This class has helped me to get through a very difficult time in my life and something to focus on.
I went along to learn to crochet and I did not expect anything else, but I have met some lovely people who are also going through difficult times. We all support one another and when things are tough at home we chat and relax, have a coffee then crochet.
Michelle is excellent, very patient and understanding. She has shown me so much in a craft I never thought I would get to grips with.
I will also be attending the Crafty Carers Monthly session on the first Wednesday of every month. Starting in March 2019, 1.00pm-2.00pm at the Centre where carers can come along and knit, sew, crochet or other crafts they enjoy doing and a few hours away. All carers are welcome.
What a brilliant and worthy while training session this has been. When we care for someone with dementia being equipped ourselves is an extremely valuable tool. Once we know why things are happening it helps us understand better and in turn will help us to help those with dementia. Keep up the good work.
