Hi my name is Diane Wiltshire and I joined Wigan and Leigh Carers Centre in March 2019. Prior to joining I’ve had varied roles including supporting retirement living schemes across Central and the South of England to ensure customers had access to a range of activities within their schemes to improve their health and wellbeing.
I have also worked as a Community Care Assessor for a Local Authority and as a Support Coordinator for nearly 5 years providing information, advice and support to stroke survivors and their families/carers.
I am now part of a team of Carer Assessors. The aim of the carer’s assessment is to identify any support needs a carer may have and address those needs where possible, by providing information and signposting or referring to appropriate services. As I am new to the Wigan area I am enjoying spending my time looking around and getting familiar with the borough. I have a passion for wanting to provide help and support to individuals and try to make a difference to their lives.
